Note on Language Codes

On the recommendation of the GOE and in keeping with the decision of the A13 Tunis Global Conference, the use of ISO 639-3 language codes is compulsory starting from the A14 season onwards.

See table of ISO 639-3 language codes

Codes standing for "Multiple Languages" and "Undetermined" exist and may be used as a last resort. However, you are kindly requested to indicate specific language(s) wherever possible. The Language field provides enough space for up to three languages, entered without any spaces or separators. For example, "EngFraDeu" indicates a transmission block with segments in English, French and German.

Feel free to contact the hfcc secretariat at vciphfcc.org if you need any assistance in composing the frequency requirement file and/or determining the correct language codes.
